Farm Trivia Contest Rules
2011 FARM TRIVIA CONTEST OFFICIAL CONTEST RULES. THE FOLLOWING CONTEST IS ONLY OPEN TO RESIDENTS OF CANADA. NO PURCHASE IS NECESSARY.
PARTICIPANTS MUST BE EIGHTEEN (18) YEARS OF AGE OR OLDER AT TIME OF ENTRY. ENTRY IN THIS CONTEST CONSTITUTES ACCEPTANCE OF THESE CONTEST RULES.
- ELIGIBILITY. To be eligible for this Contest, an individual must: (i) be a legal resident
of Canada, (ii) be 18 years of age or older, and (iii) have correctly answered the Farm Trivia
Contest question aired during Prairie Farm Report. Immediate family members of employees and persons domiciled with employees of Ag-
Com Productions,(any broadcasting stations carrying the PFR or Farm Credit Canada) are not
eligible to participate in the Contest. This Contest is void where prohibited by law.
- HOW TO ENTER. The Contest commences at 12:01 a.m. (Sask. time) on Saturday,
January 8th, 2011 and closes at 11:59 p.m. (Sask. time) on Sunday, April 17th, 2011
(the “Entry Period”). There is one way to enter the contest:
a). To qualify for the Prize, you must visit www.farmtriviacontest.com and correctly answer the question provided on that weeks airing of Prairie Farm Report. The entry will be void if the question is answered incorrectly. There is a limit of 10 entries per household IP address for a 5 day period after the airing of each weekly FTC question.
b). Ag-Com Productions will not be responsible for lost, misdirected, falsified or delayed entries. Ag-Com Productions will not assume any responsibility for incorrect or inaccurate capture of entry information, human or technical error, printing errors, lost, delayed or garbled data or transmissions, omission, interruption, deletion, defect or failures of any telephone or computer lines or networks, computer equipment, software or any combination thereof. Entry materials/data that have been tampered with or altered are void.
- PRIZES: There will be One grand prize, and One Hundred and Thirty secondary prizes awarded:
a). Grand Prize (1):
One (1) HP EliteBook 6930p laptop, One (1) AgExpert Analyst and One (1) Field Manager PRO.
b). Secondary Prizes (130):
Ten (10) Prairie Farm Report hats per week for the 13 week duration of the contest. There will be a limit of 3 hats per winning name over the course of the 13 week contest. Certain restrictions may apply. Shipping and delivery will be arranged with the winner. Prize fulfilment must occur within one year of the contest closing date. No extensions will be granted. Prizes must be accepted as awarded and cannot be transferred, substituted or redeemed for cash. Ag-Com Productions reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to substitute any and all of the prizes for prizes of equal value should all or part of the prize become unavailable for any reason.
- WINNER SELECTION:
Prize:
A random draw from all eligible entries received will take place on Monday, April 18th,
2011 at 2 p.m. (Sask. time) in Regina, Saskatchewan. Odds of winning are dependent upon
the number of eligible entries received by April 17th, 2011. THE SELECTED ENTRANT
WILL BE NOTIFIED BY PHONE WITHIN TEN (10) DAYS OF THE DRAW DATE
AND MUST RESPOND WITHIN TWO (2) BUSINESS DAYS OF NOTIFICATION. Upon
notification, the selected Entrant must respond by telephone to the contact number provided
in the notification and Ag-Com Productions must receive the selected Entrant’s response
within two (2) business days of such notification. If the selected Entrant does not respond in
accordance with the Contest Rules or the selected Entrant does not comply with the Contest
Rules, he/she will be disqualified and will not receive a prize and another Entrant will be
selected. If after three (3) such attempts Ag-Com Productions has not identified a winner, Ag-
Com Productions reserves the right to award the prize to a secondary name that will be drawn
or to a charity of its choice. Ag-Com Productions is not responsible for the failure for any
reason whatsoever of selected Entrant to receive notification or for Ag-Com Productions to
receive selected Entrant’s response.
Prize: The delivery of the HP laptop will occur within 4 weeks of the Prize drawing. Ag-Com Productions is not responsible for any additional costs associated with the prize outside of the delivery to the contest winner.
- WINNER DECLARATION: Before being declared a winner, the selected winner will be required to sign an agreement and release confirming compliance with the Contest Rules and acceptance of the prize as offered and (i) releasing Ag-Com Productions and its employees, directors and officers from any and all liability for any loss, harm, damages, cost or expense arising out of participation in this Contest or participating in any prize-related activity or the acceptance, use or misuse of any prize, including without limitation costs, injuries, losses and damages related to personal injuries, death, damage to, loss or destruction of property, rights of publicity or privacy, defamation, or portrayal in a false light, or from any and all claims of third parties arising there from and (ii) granting Ag-Com Productions the unrestricted rights, in its discretion, to publish without any further compensation the name, picture, portrait, likeness, voice and ideas of that entrant for advertising and promotional purposes. The agreement and release must be returned within ten (10) business days of the notification date indicated on the documents or the selected entrant will be disqualified and the prize forfeited.
- CONDUCT: By entering this Contest, Entrants agree to be bound by these Contest Rules, which are available on a link from www.farmtriviacontest.com or by contacting Ag-Com Productions at 1-800-667-8888 or by sending a self-addressed stamped envelope to: Ag-Com Productions, Farm Trivia Contest, Box 884, Regina, SK, S4P 3B1. Entrants further agree to be bound by the decisions of the judges, which shall be final and binding in all respects. Ag-Com Productions reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to disqualify any Entrant it finds to be: (a) tampering or attempting to tamper with the entry process or the operation of the Contest, the Contest entry form, or any Ag-Com Productions website; (b) violating the Contest Rules; (c) violating the terms of service, conditions or use and/or general rules or guidelines of any Ag-Com Productions property or service, or (d) acting in an unsportsmanlike or disruptive manner, or with intent to annoy, abuse, threaten or harass any other person. CAUTION: ANY ATTEMPT BY AN ENTRANT OR ANY OTHER INDIVIDUAL TO DELIBERATELY DAMAGE ANY WEBSITE OR UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THE CONTEST MAY BE A VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS. SHOULD SUCH AN ATTEMPT BE MADE, AG-COM PRODUCTIONS RESERVES THE RIGHT TO IMMEDIATELY TERMINATE THE USERS ENTRY, IF ANY, AND SEEK DAMAGES FROM ANY SUCH PERSON TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.
- WINNER. For the name of the prize winner, available after April 18th, 2011, send a letter
along with a self-addressed, stamped envelope to Ag-Com Productions, Farm Trivia Contest,

- LAWS. These are the official Contest Rules. This Contest is subject to the laws of Canada and any applicable laws of the province in which the contest is held.
- PRIVACY. Ag-Com Productions Ltd and Farm Credit Canada respects your right to privacy. If the entrant gives permission to be contacted on any of the weekly online entry forms, Ag-Com Productions Ltd. and or Farm Credit Canada may use the information provided by you to initiate, maintain and develop a relationship with you in connection with offering various goods and services. If at any time you no longer wish to receive such information, goods and services from Ag-Com Productions Ltd. or Farm Credit Canada, please contact Ag-Com Productions Ltd. at 1-800-667-8888 or through www.farmvideos.com.
